Considerations about Acupuncture
Date Published

According to the World Health Organization 104 diseases can be treated with acupuncture, including for example migraines, sinusitis, colds, ocular inflammation, myopia, gastrointestinal disorders, neuralgia, sciatica, paralysis, etc. The most effective acupuncture treatment is achieved when the combination of points is designed to meet the specific needs of each individual, treating the person rather than the symptom. Thus, the points are combined taking into account various factors specific to each person, such as lifestyle or psychological types. The emphasis is always placed on the patient, on their feelings and on their needs. The focus is on restoring energy balance, giving the body the possibility of regaining its state of health, naturally and non-invasively.
Other ways of acting on energy points to influence circulation of energy in the meridians characterize a different practice, such as pressure and self-massage, such as Do In, Tai Chi, Chi Kung, Yoga, or meditation.
