Carmen Prema, founder of Sundari

Carmen Prema

Founder · Yoga & Meditation Teacher

“I believe in the inner beauty of every human being — not only in its potential, but even more in its power of manifestation.”

Carmen Prema’s journey began with a simple curiosity: to understand what it truly means to be human — in body, mind, energy and spirit. Over more than 35 years of yoga practice and teaching, this quest became her life’s mission. A former national rowing champion, she also earned degrees in Law and Psychology, became an osteopath and practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing, and is a registered Acupuncture and Herbology professional in Portugal. Guided by teachers including Sahajananda, Master Mantak Chia and Master Chris Luth, she wove together Yoga, Qigong, Daoist practices and Meditation into an integrated vision of human potential, and founded Sundari Integral Yoga© School. She teaches in English, Portuguese and French.

Lorenzo, visual artist

Lorenzo

Visual Artist · Cultural Anthropologist

“My hand moves without calculation, following an instinct that feels older than thought, closer to breath — the act itself becomes a form of meditation.”

Lorenzo is an Italian/Portuguese visual artist and cultural anthropologist. He holds a BA+MA in Philosophy and Anthropology from Università di Torino and a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from ISCTE, Lisbon, and studied painting, drawing and sculpture in Lisbon. His work bridges anthropology and art, with a current focus on the relationship between humans and the natural environment.
